For being such a small town, Hoi An sure has some of the best cafés in Vietnam!. Another reason why you should visit this quaint and charming town. Hoi An is by far one of the most popular destinations in Vietnam and you’d be missing out on something special if you don’t go here. Come here at night when the lanterns light up the town, take a walk and look at the marvelous architecture, go souvenir shopping or get something tailor made – Hoi An is known for this. But something else that Hoi An is really, really good at, is food and cafés.
Whether you are looking for your next favorite coffee place or you just want to sip on some good beverages and have a nice breakfast, you will most certainly find it here. If Hoi An was not in your itinerary before, it will be after this. Even if you aren’t a coffee lover, these cafés are worth going to since they serve other delicious things as well and the vibe is really cool. Have a look at some of my favorite cafés in Hoi An.
Rosie’s Cafe
Address: 8/6 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai, Phường Minh An, Hội An, Quảng Nam 560000, Vietnam
Not only is this a vegan friendly café, but you can find everything here from breakfast, fresh juices, smoothies, vegan cakes and regular ones and of course – delicious coffee! It’s one of the most popular cafés in Hoi An and it’s not hard to see why. The interior is beautiful to look at, you will want to stay here for a long time and if you need to study or work, it’s a really good place to sit. It is also located in a quiet alley, a bit further away from the touristy streets. If you are there, you must try the chocolate shake!
La Petite Patisserie
Address: 10 Phan Tình, Cửa Đại, Hội An, Quảng Nam, Vietnam
If you have a sweet tooth (like I do) and you like French pastries, then you have to come here. The eclairs is a must-try and have them with some of the coffee. Your mind will be blown! They also have a cute, small space where you can sit and enjoy the pastries they have. This is one of the best cafés you can find if you crave more international desserts. And even if you don’t – you do. Trust me, it is that good.
Cocobox
Address: 94 Lê Lợi, Phường Minh An, Hội An, Quảng Nam, Vietnam
This rustic café offers a nice and relaxing place to sit while you enjoy a juice or other goodies that you can find here. Some of the things you can find on the menu are Vietnamese style coffee, natural juices, smoothies, different varieties of tea, pastries, sandwiches and ice cream – basically everything you need for a successful breakfast or lunch. This is one of the most popular cafés so it can get a bit crowded. But once you get a seat, it will be worth the wait. The smoothies are some of the best I had in Vietnam. Try the All Day Breakfast menu as well, because who doesn’t want love a late breakfast?
Passion Fruit Coffee
Address: 09 Hoàng Văn Thụ, Phường Minh An, Hội An, Quảng Nam 563800, Vietnam
Are you by any chance craving an iced coconut coffee? Well if you aren’t then you will after trying one here in Passion Fruit Coffee. This is a really good café which offers some specialty coffees. The ambiance is also really nice and a bit more quiet, so if you need a place to read a book or study or so, you’ve found yourself a really nice café. Oh, and also! As their name is Passion Fruit Coffee, this is the one thing you should try if you are here. Trust me – it’s very, very good.
Hoi An is the perfect place if you like the more quiet lifestyle. It is incredibly beautiful, has some really nice beaches a bit outside of the town (biking distance) and the small cafés here makes it well worth the visit. You will want to spend more days than you originally planned. Don’t forget to apply for your Vietnam visa before you enter the country though. You can apply for either a Visa on Arrival, an E-Visa (depending on which country you are a citizen of) or you can go to your local or nearest Vietnam Embassy or Consulate to get your Vietnam visa. Have fun café hopping in this magnificent town!
