There’s a lot of things that Mexico and Vietnam has in common – great food, warm climate, kind people and fascinating culture. But why then would you travel to a different country if you have everything at home?
Well… Probably because it is impossible to have everything at home. Also, us humans are curious by nature and we always seek what is foreign to us. It has also become so much easier and affordable these days to travel, and Vietnam has seen a big tourism boom in the latest years. Many people come here because it feels exotic and foreign, but also because it is a very affordable country to travel around. The travelers I met while in Vietnam told me that they appreciated the fact that they could do so much with so little money. They didn’t have to worry about money, but instead could just enjoy their trip.
So why should you come to Vietnam? Come here because it is beautiful. Come here because traveling makes you a wiser and more open person. Come to Vietnam because there is no other country in the world like Vietnam, and if you have the chance to see this part of the world, you should. The easy accessibility to the neighbouring countries Thailand, Cambodia and Laos, also makes Vietnam an ideal country to travel in.
If you are from Mexico, you need a visa to enter Vietnam, regardless of the amount of time you have planned to stay in the country.
1. Electronic visa or Vietnam e-visa for Mexican passport holders
From 01 Feb 2019, under Decision 17/2019/NĐ-CP of the Government of Vietnam, citizens of Mexico are eligible to apply online for an e-visa of Vietnam online (e-visa is a single entry valid for staying 30 days).
Mexican passport holders, who want to visit Vietnam for less than 30 days for a single trip, can apply online for an e-visa directly at the government website https://evisa.immigration.gov.vn(please note that the fee is non-refundable if you apply your e-visa at the government website).
If you want to secure your e-visa with refundable policy (100% satisfied or get back your money) you can apply your e-visa through our easy form application (filling your entry date, entry and exit port of arrival then submit your passport copy online) then we will take care the rest of procedure to get your e-visa on time as promise.
Note : if you want to visit Vietnam for multiple times in one month or want to visit Vietnam for more than one month, please choose options below :
2. Visa on Arrival – Apply online for pre-approval then pick up your visa on arrival at the airport of Vietnam
The second option that you should opt for is a so called Vietnam Visa on Arrival. This is preferred by many other travelers because of its convenience, simplicity and time saving. If you apply for a Visa on Arrival, you can enter through any of the five international airports in Vietnam: Da Nang Int’l Airport in Da Nang city, Cam Ranh Int’l Airport in Nha Trang city, Tan Son Nhat Int’l Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, Cat Bi Int’l Airport in Hai Phong city and Noi Bai Int’l Airport in Hanoi city.
You can apply for this visa anywhere in the world – whether you are in Mexico or somewhere else, all you need to do is have a computer and internet. This is the most effective way to apply for a visa if you are going to Vietnam. There is no need to send your passport or any other important private documents. What you need to do is fill out an Online Application Form, wait for your confirmation letter and you will normally receive an Approval Letter within 2 working days. When everything is completed, don’t forget to print out the finalized document, bring it to the airport in Vietnam and get it stamped by one of the immigration officers.
If you forgot to apply for a Visa on Arrival in good time, there is also the opportunity to get an Emergency Visa. It is then proceeded from 30 minutes to 4 hours.
3. Apply for a visa through the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico
The last option you have, that is not as fast or convenient, is to apply for a Vietnam visa at the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico. The reason why we do not recommend this option is because if you don’t live close to the embassy, you will have to travel far, which will be both time consuming and expensive. It can also take a bit longer to apply for and the waiting time can be longer. However, this is one of the options that you can choose from, so if this fits you better, you will be glad to know that you can apply for a visa via the Vietnam embassy in Mexico.
Getting a visa is really easy and inexpensive. Just remember to apply for it in time so that you don’t have to stress – trust me, I’ve done that mistake and I almost had to cancel my trip. So just make sure to apply for it whenever you know you’re going to Vietnam and you don’t have to deal with the stress I had to deal with (heart attack!).
Enjoy your vacation to Vietnam and just remember to have fun. It is a one-of-a-lifetime experience. See you on the other side!
