Many Europeans choose to go abroad when the cold winter months comes knocking on the door. They usually seek an exotic country with tropical climate, pristine beaches and beautiful landscapes. If you are looking for this and much more, Vietnam is the perfect country for you to visit. Not only can you lay on the beach here, you can also go hiking, trekking, canyoning, kayaking and go kite-surfing. Vietnam is full of possibilities so make sure you have enough time to explore and try out some new activities.
Although Vietnam is warm all year round, it can get chilly up north during winter. However, if you want to be guaranteed warm weather, head down south. Ho Chi Minh City, the biggest city in Vietnam, is a good starting point if you are starting in the south. Why not hop over to the island Phu Quoc afterwards, where you can really sit back and relax. As you can see, going on vacation to Vietnam is an excellent choice.
When you have decided on traveling to Vietnam from San Marino, make sure that you apply for a Vietnam visa if you are citizen of San Marino. You can either do it online or go to your nearest Vietnam Embassy or Consulate. The easiest option is to apply for a Visa on Arrival since you can do this from everywhere in the world. It is easy, fast, affordable and you will get the visa approval letter within just a few days. Here are the three options further explained:
1. Electronic visa or Vietnam e-visa for citizens of San Marino
From 01 Feb 2019, under Decision 17/2019/NĐ-CP of the Government of Vietnam, citizens of San Marino are eligible to apply online for an e-visa of Vietnam online (e-visa is a single entry valid for staying 30 days).
San Marino passport holders, who want to visit Vietnam for less than 30 days for a single trip, can apply online for an e-visa directly at the government website https://evisa.immigration.gov.vn(please note that the fee is non-refundable if you apply your e-visa at the government website).
If you want to secure your e-visa with refundable policy (100% satisfied or get back your money) you can apply your e-visa through our easy form application (filling your entry date, entry and exit port of arrival then submit your passport copy online) then we will take care the rest of procedure to get your e-visa on time as promise.
Note : if you want to visit Vietnam for multiple times in one month or want to visit Vietnam for more than one month, please choose options below :
2. Visa on Arrival (VOA) – Apply online for pre-approval then pick up your visa on arrival at the airport of Vietnam
To apply for a VOA, you need your computer and internet. If you get a Visa on Arrival, you are allowed to enter Vietnam through any of the 5 international airports in following cities: Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Hai Phong. You can only travel by air if you get a VOA, meaning you can’t enter Vietnam by bus, car, and so forth.
The process is very simple. What you need to do is fill in the Online Application form with all relevant information. You will then have to wait for a confirmation email which usually arrives within 1-2 working hours. Normally you will receive an Approval Letter within 2 working days. When the letter comes, don’t forget to print it out so the immigration officers in Vietnam can stamp your passport. If you need an emergency visa, you can get one within 40 minutes to 4 hours. This will cost you more money, but you will be able to get it much faster.
You also have the option to buy “On Arrival Support” which is a very good option for those who wants to check in to Vietnam faster:
- Standard Support : +US$20/pp
Our staff will meet you in front of the “visa on arrival” desk with a welcome board, then take care of all procedures necessary to get the visa stamped on your passport. Please prepare 25 USD/person and give it to our staff to pay for the visa stamp fee.
- VIP Support : +US$35/pp
Our staff will meet you in front of the “visa on arrival” desk with a welcome board, receive your passport and give it back with the visa within 5-10 minutes, then escort you to check out via the VIP gate. Please prepare 25 USD/person and give it to our staff to pay for the visa stamp fee.
3. Apply for a visa through the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in the nearby countries of San Marino
The second option is to apply for a visa in your local or nearest Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in San Marino. The reason why this option might not be recommended is because it is not as convenient if you do not live close to the embassy. It means you’ will have to spend time on transportation and money. You will also need to remember to bring all the necessary documents, such as passport, and if you by any chance forget anything, you need to start all over again with the process. It is time consuming and you usually need to pick up your passport in the embassy or consulate. Also, be kindly advised that the fees and procedures are subject to change depending on where you apply.
Bring with you all the relevant documents, such as the visa approval letter, and show it to the immigration officers in Vietnam. You will also need to present 2 photos of yourself and bring cash. Euros and USD is accepted.
