The first option is to apply for an Electronic visa or Vietnam E-visa (30 days, single entry). This visa will be issued electronically, and you can show it at the passport control when you are entering Vietnam. If you live far away from the Embassy or Consulate, it might be a bit inconvenient for you. Sometimes the progress of your application will take a longer time as well, especially if there are important documents that are missing.

It’s not trickier than that! Once you have decided that you want to explore Vietnam, you will just need to a Vietnam visa and you are good to go. It is always recommended to stay for at least one month in order to do and see as much as possible, but also have time to relax. The country is big and it takes a while to get from A to B.
