If you are thinking of escaping winter in Europe or you just want to go on vacation somewhere far east, why not go to Vietnam. It is one of the best places to go to no matter the season. Even if it’s winter time, you can always go down south and the weather will be warm and mild. Vietnam is one of the most popular countries to go visit if you want to go to Asia. It’s the perfect introduction for Asia since it is quite easy to travel around in. Since tourism has boomed, so has new facilities such as hostels and international restaurants and cafés. A few years ago, the Vietnamese locals were surprised when they saw a tourist walking down the street, but now internationals are part of Vietnam and the country’s development.
There are a lot of places to visit in Vietnam as well, so many people try to stay here for at least 1 month. If you are in no rush, try to go from either north to south or the opposite, and visit the small towns in between. Hoi An, a quaint town close to Da Nang, is one of the most popular places you can visit in Vietnam and it’s not hard to see why. It is quite the picture-perfect town with all the colorful lanterns and the French-Chinese-Japanese inspired architecture. If you go here, make sure to not miss out on the beaches as well. Two cities that you should not miss out on are the biggest – Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Filled with history and culture, these two cities will not disappoint. If you are a food lover, then this is a must. There is an abundance of restaurants to try here. Thanks to the international scene, you can find food like pasta, pizza, tacos, sushi… you name it! But if you are in Vietnam, you should try the local food such as pho, bun, cha nem, banh mi, and the list goes on and on… Vietnam is the perfect country for food lovers!
As a citizen of Belarus, you are not required visa for visiting Vietnam if stay less than 15 days (A gap of least 30 days between two visa-free visits is required). In case you want to stay for more than 15 days OR if you do not meet the requirement regarding a gap of at least 30 days between two visa-free visits, you will have to apply for a Vietnam visa before you can enter the country.
If you have a computer and internet, you can apply for an e-visa (30 days, single entry) or a Visa on Arrival (if you want a multiple entries or more than 30-day-visa). But there is also the option to go to your local (or closest) Vietnam embassy or consulate.
1. Electronic visa or Vietnam e-visa (30 days, single entry)
As a citizens of Belarus, If you want to visit Vietnam for more than 15 days but less than 30 days, you should apply for an e-visa (30 days, single entry) directly at the website of The Immigration Department of Vietnam https://evisa.immigration.gov.vn (non-refundable policy) or apply your e-visa online through our website (100% satisfy or get back your money policy)
If you want to visit Vietnam for more than 30 days, there are two other ways for you to get a visa if you are from Belarus.
2. Visa on Arrival (VOA) – Apply online for pre-approval then pick up visa on arrival at the airport of Vietnam
This option is preferred by many foreigners who comes to Vietnam. It is easy to apply to, convenient, quick and it saves you time. You can also apply for the VOA from anywhere in the world. All you need is your computer and internet. If you apply for this visa, you are allowed to enter Vietnam through any of the 5 international airports: Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Hai Phong. You can only travel by air if you get a VOA, meaning you can’t enter Vietnam by bus, car, et cetera.
The process is very easy. What you need to do is fill out the Online Application form where you state your date of birth, and other relevant information. Then you wait for a confirmation email that will come in around 1-2 working hours. Normally you will receive an Approval Letter within 2 working days. When the letter comes, don’t forget to print it out so the immigration officers in Vietnam can stamp your passport. If by chance you need to get an emergency visa, it will cost you more money, but you will be able to get it faster. It will take from 30 minutes to 4 hours.

3. Apply for a visa through the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in Belarus
The last option is to apply for a visa in the closest Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in Belarus. The reason why this option might not be recommended is because it’s not as convenient if you don’t live close to the embassy. It means you will have to spend time on transportation and money. You will also need to remember to bring all the necessary documents, such as passport, and if you by any chance forget anything, you need to start all over again with the process. It is time consuming and you usually need to pick up your passport in the embassy. However, this is one of the choices that you can choose from, so if you happen to prefer this option, then it is good to know that it exists.
