Hola! So, you are ready to travel across the world and see a new country, experience a new culture and try some delicious cuisine? You have chosen a great country to travel to. There are many reasons why tourism has risen lately and the popularity doesn’t seem to stop. Quite the contrary – more and more have found their way to Vietnam and many come home and tell stories that will make others wanna come here.
The reason why so many people love traveling to Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries is because it is so affordable, but most importantly, so beautiful and diverse. Southeast Asia is one of the most common travel destinations for many people from all over the world. Here you can meet travelers from Sweden, Australia, Germany, South Africa, Brazil, USA, et cetera. So, if you are planning to travel solo, you won’t have to worry – you are not alone. Solo traveling is very popular nowadays and Vietnam is one of the better countries to travel alone. The locals have gotten used to seeing people with their big backpacks, the expat community is growing and there are places where it is inevitable to meet other travelers.
If you are from Argentina and your curiosity about Vietnam has sparked, you will first have to get a visa in order to enter the country. There are two options for you – either you get an e-visa (30 days, single entry) / a Visa on Arrival (more than 30 days, multiple entries) or go to your local Vietnamese embassy or consulate to get your visa stamped.
1. Electronic visa or Vietnam e-visa for Argentine passport holders
From 01 Feb 2019, under Decision 17/2019/NĐ-CP of the Government of Vietnam, citizens of Argentina are eligible to apply online for an e-visa of Vietnam online (e-visa is a single entry valid for staying 30 days).
Argentine passport holders, who want to visit Vietnam for less than 30 days for a single trip, can apply online for an e-visa directly at the government website https://evisa.immigration.gov.vn(please note that the fee is non-refundable if you apply your e-visa at the government website).
If you want to secure your e-visa with refundable policy (100% satisfied or get back your money) you can apply your e-visa through our easy form application (filling your entry date, entry and exit port of arrival then submit your passport copy online) then we will take care the rest of procedure to get your e-visa on time as promise.
Note : if you want to visit Vietnam for multiple times in one month or want to visit Vietnam for more than one month, please choose options below :
2. Visa on Arrival – Apply online for pre-approval then pick up your visa on arrival at the airport of Vietnam
The first option is the one that is recommended, which is to apply online for an e-visa (30 days, single entry). If you want to visit Vietnam for multiple time in 30 days or want to visit Vietnam for more than 30 days, then you should apply for a Visa on Arrival (more than 30 days, multiple entries). With this type of visa, you are only allowed to enter Vietnam through air. This is the better option as well for those who do not wish to travel far (or at all!) or submit their passport via postal mail. You can easily get a visa by getting in touch with a travel agent in Vietnam. You just need to fill out an online form where you state your name, occupation, purpose of visit, duration of stay, etc. Once this is processed, an approval letter will be sent to you via the email you wrote. Don’t forget to print this approval letter out so that you can present it to the immigration officers in Vietnam who will then stamp your letter. You only need internet and a computer to do this and you can apply for it anywhere in the world! It’s effective, quick, cheap and safe – this is why it is recommended.
If there is an emergency and you need your visa faster, you can always apply for an Emergency Visa. It will then be proceeded from 30 minutes to 4 hours. An Approval Letter is then sent to you via email before you board the plane. As soon as you arrive in one of the international airports of Vietnam, you will have your visa ready.
3. Apply for a visa through the embassy of Vietnam in Argentina
You also can to the embassy of Vietnam in Argentina and speak to them in person to apply for a visa to Vietnam. They will help you out when you are there. Remember to bring all the important documents such as passport, flight tickets, etc. This option is good if you live close to the Vietnamese Embassy. However, if you live far away, this is not the most desirable solution since it will not only take you a long time with transportation, but it will also cost you money. Applying for a visa through an embassy can also take longer time and if you forgot to bring all the necessary documents, you will have to do the process all over again.
As soon as you get your visa, you can start enjoying the many activities that is offered in Vietnam. Go hiking or trekking in the mountains, see the famous rice terraces in Sapa, enjoy your time at one of the many sand beaches by the coast, escape to the cities and enjoy the nightlife, eat delicious cuisine that can only be found in Vietnam, and most importantly – remember to have fun! See you on the other side!
